Behavior is the product of a situation. Behavior and situations are dynamic things. They are always changing either for the better or worse.
With just a bit of thinking and forethought on your part, situations are easily controlled to produce healthy, desired behavior.
Rather than thinking in terms of “problem behavior” or rather than using a label (“he’s so stubborn or she’s always grouchy, she’s just that way”) which doesn’t help anything and often harms everything (!), start thinking in terms of problem situations.
Always look to these 3 categories. Problem situations always involve at least 2, typically all 3, of these categories. SOLUTIONS will always involve a change in behavior on your part in at least 2 typically all 3, of these categories.
